Award-winning Superior Japanese Green Tea
A rare combination of affordable and premium, freshly harvested in Kyoto, Japan, and shipped directly to you.

Japanese have savored green tea for centuries. It has been a part of Japanese society for generations, from Buddhist monks to samurai warriors.

Our tea is made in a traditional Japanese way, so its taste, aroma, and color reflect that. We grow our tea leaves in a unique environment with mineral-rich soil and pure spring water at a naturally occurring plateau using special manual labor-intensive process. The work demands great skill and considerable patience, resulting in only the freshest, finest leaves.

We strive to give you the best experience, and we think you’ll love the results.

Great For Your Mind And Body
Green tea is touted to be one of the healthiest beverages on the planet. It’s loaded with antioxidants that have many health benefits, which may include:

Green tea is rich in bioactive compounds like polyphenols and antioxidants, which helps in reducing inflammation and to fight cancer.

Green tea contains caffeine (but less than coffee) which does more than just keep you alert, it may also help boost brain function and prevent mental aging.

Green tea increases fat burning and boost metabolic rate by mobilizing fatty acids from fat tissue and making them available for use as energy, helping you to lose weight.

Green tea has catechins which have benefits for oral health. These catechins suppress the growth of bacteria in the mouth which is a leading contributor to cavities and tooth decay.

Green tea increases the antioxidant capacity of the blood, which protects the LDL particles from oxidation, reducing the risk of heart and cardiovascular disease.

How long is the expiration date?
12 months for Matcha. Please check our product pages for the expiration dates of each individual item.

What is the difference between Japanese tea and Black/Chinese tea?
Black tea , Oolong tea, Green tea (Japanese tea) all derive from the same plant (camellia sinensis / evergreen shrub). Depending on the processing method, the product is later classified as black tea, oolong tea or green tea (Japanese tea).

Since Japanese tea does not generally ferment, it is called non-fermented tea. Black tea is made of completely fermented leaves and classified as fermented tea.

The manufacturing process makes all the difference. By terminating the fermentation prematurely Chinese tea is classified as a semi-fermented tea.

When is Japanese tea harvested?
The harvest of Japanese tea depends on the climate of the year, but it will usually start around the beginning of April.
