The Singapore company builds technology that turns genetic information into personalised wellness guidance people can act on.
SINGAPORE, 23 October 2024. ConnectingDNA has raised US$550,000 in pre-seed funding from private investors to accelerate development of its personalised wellness technology, which was still in stealth at the time of the round. The round was reported by e27 and BLOCK71.
What ConnectingDNA does
Most wellness recommendations are designed around averages. ConnectingDNA’s platform adds the missing piece: information from a person’s own genetics, so that knowing their biological starting point helps them make more informed choices about nutrition, lifestyle and wellbeing.
DNA becomes one input into the plan.
What will the funding build?
The round will fund further development of the technology, a wider product offering, and partnerships across the wellness industry.
The Genetic Multiplier
At the centre of ConnectingDNA’s philosophy is the Genetic Multiplier:
Your genes may influence your tendencies, but your daily choices still matter.
Two people can begin with similar genetic predispositions and end up in very different places, because their habits and environments differ.
From the founder
“Health isn’t one-size-fits-all, and wellness advice shouldn’t be either”, said Cedric Lee, founder and CEO of ConnectingDNA. “Our goal is to make DNA useful beyond the report, helping people understand their own biology and use those insights to make more informed everyday decisions.”
